Frank Chi
National Communications Director
Frank Chi begins his term as CDA's National Communications Director after years of intimate involvement in College Democrats of the campus, state and national level.
As New Media Director for the College Democrats of America last year, Frank launched CDA's new media and advertising campaign - producing print ads and commercials such as the "Tuition Treadmill" and initiating new media campaigns on Facebook, MySpace, iTunes and YouTube. He has led trainings on Facebook and new media across the country for the Democratic National Committee and national and statewide campaigns in New Hampshire, Iowa, Connecticut and Maine. In past College Democrats experience, he served as Communications Director for the Maine College Democrats and President of the Bowdoin College Democrats. In 2005, he and current National Council Chair Alex Cornell du Houx led Maine to win CDA's "State Federation of the Year" Award.
In 2006, Frank served as Internet Communications Director for Maine Governor John Baldacci's re-election campaign and New Haven (CT) Mayor John DeStefano's campaign for Connecticut Governor. He's also led communications efforts for municipal races in Houston, TX, Bridgeport, CT and New Haven, CT, as well as the Maine and Connecticut Democratic Parties. Frank has been quoted in the Portland Press Herald, the Concord Monitor, NPR's Morning Edition, Maine Public Radio, and for two years served as the Democratic voice on Maine's FOX23 statewide television show, "Youth in Politics."
In May, Frank graduated from Bowdoin College with a degree in Government and African-American Studies. He currently lives in Washington, DC, where he works at a Democratic media consulting firm.
